World TB Day

World TB Day; March 24  each year raises public awareness about Tuberculosis and its devastating impact on the health, social and economic conditions of people around the world. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji committed to achieving TB-related Sustainable Development Goals by 2025, five years ahead of the global targets of 2030. Owing to this commitment from the highest level of leadership, The National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) has progressed tremendously over the past few years.

To galvanize national stakeholders and inter-ministerial action towards TB elimination further, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has planned to organize “STEP Up to End TB Summit, 2022” on the occasion of World TB Day. The Summit will deliberate on what it will take to achieve India’s targets for 2025 and the global 2030 targets.

The Summit will be chaired by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel. It is appropriate to also mention that the event will be attended by the State Health Ministers, Government Officers, developmental agencies, civil society organizations, corporate sector, TB Vijeta, and other dignitaries.

We will be discussing the support which has been provided by us via Govt, non-Govt, NGOs, and PPP across the country.
